HR software with a free trial

2 products on the register meet this rule: PeopleHR and Sage HR. Products whose own pages offer a free trial.

The products

Every price is the vendor's own, in rand, with the date it was read, the latest on this list being 11 October 2026. A product is here only where its own pages state it. A product that is not here may still do it: the pages the register read do not say, so ask the vendor and ask to see it work.

Questions to put to the vendor

  • How long is the trial, and does it need a card?
  • Is it the whole product or a cut down version?
  • Can you bring in your own data, such as your bank statement or last month's payslips?
  • What happens to what you entered if the trial ends and you do not pay?

Questions

Which HR software offer a free trial?

The products listed on this page, where the vendor's own page offers one. Trial lengths and limits change, so check the vendor's page on the day you sign up.

What should I test in a trial?

Raise a real tax invoice, connect your own bank, run a past return from the numbers, ask support a real question and export your data. The full method is in the guide on testing software in a free trial.
