Oracle's cloud ERP for mid market and growing businesses, sold by quote.

Researched 5 October 20262 official videosNo score, no ranking

At a glance

NetSuite is Oracle's cloud ERP for mid market and growing businesses, covering financials, inventory, order management, CRM and more, sold as modules. Oracle publishes no price: it gives NetSuite pricing through a sales quote, typically as a platform fee, user licences and add on modules. Implementation can cost as much as the first year's subscription.

Pricing in rand

NetSuite does not publish a price. Oracle gives it after you contact them, and the quote is the product: ask for the monthly price with the VAT basis stated, what is charged once only, and which SARS returns it handles for you.

South African fit

We could not confirm NetSuite's South African tax handling from Oracle. Ask for the VAT return output, the eFiling process and the bank integrations in a live demonstration, and for a South African reference customer.

Where it falls short

The lack of a published price and the cost of implementation put it out of reach for small businesses. A mid market firm should compare it with Acumatica, Sage X3 and SAP Business One.

How it compares

Against Acumatica, NetSuite is the better known brand and Acumatica lists South Africa among its localisation countries. See the full comparison.

Strengths and limits

Strengths

  • A well known cloud ERP for mid market and growing businesses
  • Often considered for subscription and multi entity needs
  • Modules for financials, inventory, order management and CRM

Limits

  • Oracle publishes no price
  • Oracle's page does not detail South African VAT handling
  • Implementation can exceed the first year's subscription
  • Modules are sold separately, so the scope of the quote matters

Who it suits

Best for

  • Growing mid market companies that want a single cloud ERP
  • Businesses with subscription or multi entity needs, where NetSuite is often considered

Think twice if

  • You want to compare with confirmed prices, because Oracle publishes none
  • You are a small business, where a platform fee and implementation are heavy
  • You need South African VAT handling confirmed in a demonstration

In short

A well known cloud ERP, with the usual caveat that the real cost is in the quote and the implementation. Ask Oracle for a written all in quote and a South African reference customer.
