Sage 200 Evolution is pitched at businesses that have grown beyond simple accounting. Sage describes it as an end to end business management solution for growing small and medium businesses in all industries, bringing finance, purchase orders, cash flow, sales, reporting and stock management into one place, so that you consolidate tasks that used to sit in separate systems.
Sage groups the benefits under finance, customer management and reporting.
Sage says you get award winning support through your business partner, email and online chat, with 24 hour access to its Sage City community, step by step video guides and instructor led courses. Sage's community hub says the set up should be done by a qualified Evolution business partner, which is how most of the cost arises.
The page speaks of keeping up with legislation, with tax and legal admin covered, and Sage South Africa sells and supports the product locally. Sage's community hub shows that VAT201 submission to SARS has been available since Evolution version 11. The page lists no bank names, so ask your partner which of your banks connect.

The page is marketing language and does not state user limits, deployment model or integration details. ERP projects succeed or fail on implementation, so the partner you choose matters as much as the product.
