SYSPRO states that it helps mid sized manufacturing and distribution companies run and grow with confidence. The site lists target industries including food and beverage, automotive, electronics, packaging, plastics and rubber, metals fabrication, chemical manufacturing and distribution, and names customers such as Toyota Racing Development and Hitachi alongside regional manufacturers.
The modules run across finance, manufacturing and supply chain.
SYSPRO is South African in origin and its heritage shows in its support for local industries. The page does not list SARS or VAT features, which is typical for a global ERP site, so ask for the South African tax outputs in the demonstration.
The industry focus is a strength and a limit. A business outside manufacturing and distribution will find less to like, and as with all ERP the cost of implementation is the larger part of the investment.
